Join in the fun at our magical SBADS pantomime for 2023

Does size matter? Oh, no it doesn’t! Tom Thumb is the pantomime which shows that life is not about how big you are, but how big your heart is.

One of the oldest stories in pantomime, the adventures of Tom Thumb were first recorded in the 17th Century: our version for 2023 is written by the popular pantomime author, Paul Reakes.

Tom Thumb must battle the forces of evil and win the heart of his true love, the Princess Primrose, with help (or not) from his family, his friends and (of course!) the audience. Will Tom manage to escape the clutches of the dastardly Slugslime? Can Lucy Lastic and dim Tim Thumb handle a simple recipe? Who is the mysterious Spellena? And can fun-loving Mum Thumb keep on top of all the chaos?

With plenty of opportunities for audience participation, and much fun for all the family, Tom Thumb is the perfect antidote for a winter of discontent.

Ticket prices held!

We are charging the same ticket prices as we did in 2014 – and we’ve even added a discounted family ticket! Book two adult and two child tickets and you will receive a £4 discount.

You can choose your own seats if you book online. In common with most theatres, there is a small online booking fee. There’s no booking fee for tickets bought with cash/card direct from SBADS at our village box office in January 2023.

If you are coming by car, there is limited parking on the road outside the hall, and a free public car park the other side of the railway line. Please obey the road markings – particularly the ‘no loading’ restriction around the junction outside the hall – and please park courteously wherever you park in our village.
